7 Days of Calm: Meditation for Beginners

There are a lot of unknowns and with this, a lot of extra stress, panic and anxiety. With this in mind, I feel compelled to show up and serve with the tools I have at my disposal which is why I created 7 Days of Calm: Meditation for Beginners and offer it on a sliding scale. If you are new to meditation and looking for ways to reduce and manage your stress, decrease your anxiety and have a better handle on your thoughts, I invite you to join us. If you've been wanting to start a meditation practice but have found barriers in getting started (you don't know how to empty your mind or stop your thoughts, you don't know how to sit or for how long, you don't know what you're supposed to think about or focus on), this meditation workshop is for you.

Each day of this 7 day offering, I will start each session with some teaching on meditation (history, evolution, benefits, etc.) followed by a guided meditation in a different style each day. I will set you up for success by teaching you the tools you need to build a meditation practice. All sessions will be approximately 45 minutes in length and will be recorded so if you aren't able to join us live, you will have access to all the recordings for unlimited future use.

By the end of the 7 days, you will have:
* a clear understanding of what meditation is
* the knowledge to begin your own regular meditation practice
* practiced a variety of different styles and identified which style(s) you like
* removed the barriers to getting started
* a greater sense of calm, grounding and presence in your life
​
Meditation offers a gamut of tangible benefits including:
- a reduction in stress
- a reduction in levels of stress hormones (cortisol and adrenaline)
- activation of our parasympathetic nervous system (which promotes relaxation, boosts our immune systems and allows our bodies to heal)
- decreases anxiety and depression
- increases emotional health
- enhances attention span
- improves self-awareness

Meditation has been a powerful tool in my healing, my sobriety, and supporting my mental health which is why I am so passionate about offering it to YOU in an accessible way which is why I'm offering this workshop on a sliding scale. As you may know, I am a full-time entrepreneur in my first year of business so I am doing what I can to stay afloat and continue to offer supportive and empowering services and tools to my community and clients.

Habit Change Workshop

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) aka Tapping
What the heck is EFT, you ask? Great question!
​
EFT is a powerful, effective and super simple tool used to manage, and in some cases, resolve a variety of issues including stress, anxiety, chronic pain, depression, limiting beliefs and more. EFT functions in a similar way to acupuncture, both of which utilize the energy meridian endpoints. This tool is incredible because it can be practiced anywhere, any time, by anyone, allowing you to take your healing and wellness into your own hands.

Through this workshop, you will learn:
- the basics of EFT
- various tapping sequences
- how to apply this technique immediately to a variety of issues in your life
